Pastor Dave Shepherd received his Assoc. Div. Degree from the Assemblies of God Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. He split from the AOG to join the Assembled Brethren then split from them to form God's Good Church. He left there to start the Better Church of God, and finally the Best* Church of God (BCOG) on Wells Street.

Ruth Shepherd is elated to be an Altar Servant at The Best Church of God four years running. When she is not a servant for her Pastor, she enjoys being home schooled, listening to the New Christy Minstrels, protesting in front of Planned Parenthood and running up the Hell House Committee for the BCOG God Squad.

 | B. Eric Elam (pianist) has been playing piano for the Lord since his first communion (when he played his own processional on the church keytar). Eric has never had to take a lesson since Jesus plays through him; if you hear a "wrong" note, it's the will of the Lord and you better check yourself. |
| Sam Samuelson is a graduate of the Miskatonic University Divinity School and Seminary (Go Fightin' Baptists!) where he completed his graduate thesis entitled, "Wherefore are We Bound, and Why Might We Be in this HandBasket." He recently returned from missionary work in Tehran, and has placed himself eagerly beneath Pastor Dave's tutelage and guidance. |  |
 | Matthew Leppin is a deacon here at the Best Church and is a full time carpenter who hails from Zion Illinois. When he's not busy worshiping or laying rug, Matthew creates realistic looking fetus dolls out of wood, sheepskin and carpet that are used by Christians in protests across the country or as a gift for a loved one. |
